A note made for the meeting
The “Meeting” template already has participants, date and time, agenda, decisions and to-dos. The note shows up in the calendar on the day of the meeting, and reopens from there.
Sound familiar?
An hour of meeting, ten lines of notes, three decisions. A week later the decisions are different memories in different heads, and the notes sit in a document nobody reopened. The problem isn't taking notes: it is what the notes do afterwards.

A line with a checkbox is a real task: give it an assignee and a due date, and it shows up in the Tasks area of whoever has to do it. Ticking it there ticks the box in the minutes.
The note is shared by email, read-only or read-write. Two people on the same note see each other's cursors and their changes merge. Whoever missed it reads it instead of asking.
A meeting note has fields for the transcript and the summary, which you write or paste from wherever you have them. Search looks there too.
